Super Mario Bros. / 地上BGM by Kondo Kouji & Miyamoto Shigeru

I got my copy of Super Mario All-Stars: 25th Anniversary Edition in the mail yesterday. After playing through the first couple of levels on Mario 3 and listening to the Soundtrack CD, I thought you might want to sample some of the delights included in the pack.

The latest trailer for Radiant Historia. With the news of a US release, english speaking players should be happy as even if there isn’t an EU release, the price of imports is at an all time low.

NICE RIGHT?

I hate that the Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP/Videogame (the videogames’ BGM is made up of tracks from the Superbrothers EP) hasn’t got a release date yet.

My iPhone arrives next month and I was hoping that this would be the first App I’d be buying. Featuring some truly beautiful pieces of scenery and a brilliant musical score, this is definitely one little gem to watch.

I’ve watched this once…and I’m already shit-scared of blonde girls. Everything that Atlus are doing right now is incredible. Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey and their rereleases of the first three Persona titles are good examples of this.

Catherine looks to be yet another dark and moody adventure title crammed full of demons and other unsightly creatures. I doubt we’ll ever get a western release though…which is good for those of us who scare easily…

Just in case you haven’t seen it. I’ll be buying the DS version, mainly due to it being the only one out of the two to come with the spell book.

Hey everyone. Sorry for the hiatus but we’re back now.

We’ve only just seen this and…our eyes exploded…due to a pleasure overload

This is definitely one game that we HAVE to pick up.

We’re REALLY looking forward to Pokémon Black & White. They’re look seriously tastey right about now.
P.S. Sorry about the lack of posts. We’ve been busy with a ton of personal stuff. We’re back now though so quit crying.

Some of you might remember me talking about the 8-Bit work of Pgil. I mentioned a track titled as ‘Midland’. I thought you’d like to hear it in all it’s glitchy, mellow glory.

Something soothing for this time of night.

Charming yet so, so simple. Mamono Saber is for those on a coffee break. One of the internets lesser known gems.

Another little gem of a game for you today. This one’s free. The Moonkeeper is one of the best free side scrolling shooters out there. Created by 8-Bit musical maestro (listen to Midland if you need proof of his talent) Pgil, this is one atari throwback that you do NOT want to miss. Featuring some of the nicest screen layovers I’ve ever seen, this really is pure nostalgia. The game is available for download HERE.

I picked this up yesterday after seeing a post over at Tiny Cartridge. Arvoesine is exactly what I look for in a game, simple controls, beautiful NES style graphics and a tiny Roman as a main character. I bought it for £3.75 (that’s $5 to you guys in the US) and it was probably my best buy all year. So addictive, so infuriating, SO NOSTALGIC. It brings back memories of every side scrolling platformer I’ve ever played and with only five levels, this is perfect for lunchbreaks and wakes…uhh…scrap that second one. This game gets 10 out of 10 from me.

This is one game that I simply MUST have. I shall have it and I shall ENJOY it…immensely…

I think I’ll be purchasing an XBOX 360 for this one. Monster Hunter has become the center of my gaming world lately. MUST CARVE WYVERN SCALES.
